If the opening race of the 2017 racing season is any indication of things to come then Kyle Plott will be enjoying more trips to victory lane this season. Plott is coming off his biggest Super Late Model win at the Greenville-Pickens Speedway when he picked up a $10,000 check for capturing the season opening Greenville Meltdown.

Plott now changes his focus to the 12 race Southern Super Series where he will face off against the best Super Late Model racers in the south. The opening race is the Rattler 250 at the South Alabama Speedway and the recent birthday boy is looking to start the season off with a strong run.

“My guys have been working hard to prepare for this series,” said the 21-year-old. “My Elite Performance Motorsports team has given me great race cars everywhere we race so I am heading to the Rattler with confidence. We will give it our best shot at every race.”

The Southern Super Series will race at eight different tracks in five states visiting some of the toughest and most challenging tracks the south has to offer. Plott will visit the Bristol Motor Speedway on May 21st making that race one that the Marietta native is really looking forward to.

“I can’t wait for Bristol,” added Kyle. That’s one on my bucket list…everyone wants to race and win at Bristol. I am truly excited to compete for the Southern Super Series championship in 2017.
