With the Icebreaker 150 approaching fast, there are plenty of drivers who can’t wait to tackle the first race in New England on the 2017 Whelen NASCAR Modified Tour schedule. But perhaps the man who has most been looking forward to the Icebreaker at Thompson Speedway the most is Justin Bonsignore.

While he didn’t show elite speed, finishing 11th in both practice sessions, the driver who won both the Budweiser 150 and the Sunoco World Series 150 at Thompson last year is excited to get the race started.

“We’ve got a new car for Thompson this year, and it unloaded really good,” Bonsignore said. “I think that we’re gonna have a pretty good shot tomorrow.”

Bonsignore’s riding a hot streak dating back to last year, having finished no worse than 6th since last August at Bristol. During that hot streak, the No. 51 team has been to Victory Lane three times.

Look for Bonsignore to be up front when it’s money time. After all, he’s not one to be denied. Especially not at Thompson.
