The 2017 ARCA Midwest Tour champion will be crowned following the Oktoberfest 200 on Sunday after a four-day race weekend at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, Wisconsin.
Fans saw Ty Majeski collect his third-straight ARCA Midwest Tour championship and first ever Oktoberfest 200 victory last season and there’s even more intrigue surrounding this year’s schedule of events.
Always falling five weekends after Labor Day, this year’s dates are Thursday, October 5 through Sunday, October 8 with tour qualifying and preliminary events on Saturday night and the Championship feature on Sunday afternoon. Despite landing on the same weekend as the CRA Winchester 400, the Ocktoberfest 400 weekend is largely uneffected and even drew an occasional CRA competitor in Bubba Pollard.

Pollard is the reigning Slinger Nationals winner and a former Southern Super Series champion. Pollard has also decided to make the most of his first visit to La Crosse by filing entries for the Futures Race on Thursday Night and the Dick Trickle 99 on Friday.
Ty Majeski will be defending his 2016 victory on Sunday. Majeski recently wrapped up his fourth consecutive ARCA Midwest Tour presented by SCAG Power Equipment championship at the last event at Elko Speedway in Elko, Minnesota. He and his crew chief Toby Nuttleman hope to go back-to-back this weekend.
Reigning NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Champion Johnny Sauter will lead the Sauter trio to Fest this weekend. Four-time Oktoberfest winner Travis Sauter and Michael Sauter will also be competing this weekend. Jim Sauter Jr. will also make his return to ARCA Midwest Tour competition.
Dalton Zehr, who is currently second in points, has won two of the last three ARCA Midwest Tour races and hopes to end the season with taking three out four. He currently has a 28-point lead over Paul Shafer Jr. and Austin Nason in the standings. Jonathan Eilen sits fifth in the standings only 54-points behind Zehr.
Four-time Oktoberfest winner and two-time ARCA Midwest Tour champion Dan Fredrickson will be going for this fifth win. He finished second to Majeski last year.
1986 Oktoberfest race winner Rich Bickle Jr. is hoping to put his name in the Fest archives again and become a two-time winner.
The event has a live Speed 51 PPV broadcast. The four-day special is $89.99 while Sunday only runs $29.99. There are also options for each individual day. Those can be ordered here.
